I have read neither. However, the stories I have heard from
Black Cubans convince me that Cuba is just another variant
of the "happy mixture" myth. Ask any Black Cuban what he
thinks of the racial attitudes of the white Cubans down in
Miami, and the answer will provide the key clue. I doubt
very much that communism is a sufficient condition to the
elimination of racism (white supremacy), and in fact can
entrench it even more firmly. Communism is not the way
to African liberation.
