Subject: Film screening
Greetings friends,
I'm sorry for getting back so late, but I was trying to negotiate with
the organization about the schedule of my film's screening.
Unfortunately, the time that has been set for my film is on Friday, May
14th at 2:30pm (probably closer to 3:00pm). I know that most of you
work and won't be able to attend, but the time could not be changed.
The film series is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. But unfortunately,
all the short films are being screened on Friday. If any of you are
able to come, please come. If I have to answer any questions, I will
definitely need the support of a friendly face. For those of you who
don't know, the film "Sibling Rivalry", deals with the friendship
between dark skinned and light skinned women. A controversial subject
matter which makes most of us somewhat uncomfortable, and can create a
very hostile atmosphere. So I will probably get some heat. The fee is
$ 7.00 which can be purchased at the door to see a series of six short
films from 2:30-4:30pm. For advance purchase, please call (202)
783-7370. The address is:
The National Museum of Women in the Arts
1250 New York Ave., NW
Washington, DC
