Hello Grisso
I am a relatively new follower of your online material. I am a Jamaican
descendant living in Canada who has watched the Matrix twice. My inner
self has told me as I watched the film that it has taking certain
liberties consistent with the liberties the white man has taken by
rewriting our history. The Matrix world correctly depicts a world run
by whites for whites. But the Zion world is where I think the film
throws everyone off the trail leading to truth. Everyone on the
Nebuchadnezzar including Neo and Cipher should have been played by black
characters. I believe every future savior (Neo), needs a mentor
(Morpheus), and I also believe every catastrophic act of treason is most
likely to be committed by one of your own(Cipher). Just as we have been
written out of our own history. This film has partially washed us out
of this story.
Your articles are very powerful. I hope the people in your circle of
contact are of the frame of mind to handle what you are telling them.
The reason I am saying this is because I just finished reading your "On
Capitalist Economics and Blackfolk:" article. The person that you were
in discussion with didn't seem to have the capability to realize that,
what you were telling him is the "clear as day" truth.
Grisso let me know if you will be travelling to Toronto or New York in
the near future. I live in Toronto but I travel a lot to New York. I
would like to meet with you or at least listen to you speak if you a
lecturing in the near future.
Please contact me at pgk@idirect.com
Take care
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thank you for taking the time to write. I do appreciate the
feedback and the encouragement.
I think you make a good point that the crew of the Nebuchadnezzar
really should have been all Black. That would have made a
point, wouldn't it? But you and I both know that that would
never happen in this world as we know it. Not even Spike Lee
would have been brave enough to do that. And of course, I
would argue that the film makers have in any case another idea,
which was the point of my article.
About Cipher, I think you are right that betrayal presupposes
trust, and it is usually one of our own who gets into such a
position. So in the real world of the African liberation
movement, it is sad but true that betrayals, when they come,
come from our own. They are called "sellouts", and their
asking price can be shockingly low. But if it is true my
contention that the movie is in code, and the very name Cipher
used in the movie is the signal that there is indeed a message
in code hidden in the movie, then a Black character in that
role would have messed up the message for them. I think.
I have a brother in Toronto that I visit from time to time,
usually around Caribana. I am very interested in networking
with brothers of like mind, so let's keep in touch regardless.
I'm not (yet) on the lecture circuit, but that's something
I would welcome.
Thanks again for taking the time to write.
Peace,
Grisso
